दिल के ज़ज्बातों को होंठो पे ठिकाना न मिला,

हर नए ज़ख्मों के बीच मुस्कुराने का बहाना ना मिला,

मेरे ही शहर के हर शख्स से मिला मै अजनबी की तरह,

आज दोस्तों की महफ़िल मे भी मुझे कोई दोस्त पुराना ना मिला,

हँसते उसके चेहरे को मै भुलाता तो भुलाता कैसे,

गम की तो लकीरें भी नहीं फिर उन्हें हांथों से मिटाता कैसे,

कितना ढूंढा दर दर जा के पर कँही वो ज़माना ना मिला,

आज दोस्तों की महफ़िल मे भी मुझे कोई दोस्त पुराना ना मिला,

तन्हाई को मेरा हाथ थमा के तू अपनी मंजिल को चला गया,

मोहब्बत मे खोना किसे कहते हैं चलो इतना तो सीखा गया,

जिस जाम मे न दिखे तेरा चेहरा मयखाने मे वो पैमाना ना मिला,

आज दोस्तों की महफ़िल मे भी मुझे कोई दोस्त पुराना ना मिला…..
